Really?!?
Those wacky Brits! They drive on the left side of the road & not a few of us have looked the wrong way when crossing busy streets. Helpful reminders painted on the pavement have reduced the death rate of tourists.
Except this one... spotted by 'Alert Traveler' Donna C!
Marsha Burris lives in her hometown of Charlotte, North Carolina where her days are filled with writing about courageous women, drinking coffee with friends, and enjoying being a grandmother.
Marsha is retired from The University of North Carolina - Charlotte where she taught Ancient and Medieval History and was a Programmer Analyst in the Office of Institutional Research. She has an undergraduate degree in Sociology and a graduate degree in History. Marsha studied as an archival research scholar in Ancient & Medieval Medicine at University of Oxford and in the Mass Observation Collection at University of Sussex in the UK.
She is the author of three books:
Paradox of Professionalism: American Nurses in World War II;
Miracles All Around Me - The Unexpected Gifts of My Mother’s Alzheimer’s; and
The Polished Moon, a story based on the diary of Dot Chinnis, a WWII nurse.
Marsha's books can be found at Amazon, Park Road Books of Charlotte, or your local library.
