Jackson's Corner (in) My Corner of the Globe

I got this idea from my dear friend, Susan, who is also a grandmother. She made a special area just for her granddaughter & I loved that idea. Thanks, Susan!

Built from white pine boards that I cut & nailed together

                 Painted with blue/gray chalk paint

I added magenta highlights for interest

Set in place under the window with toys and books
that live at Grammy's house - the turtle stool was his
father's & made by his aunt and uncle c.1980

Toward the mountain-side of my Corner of the Globe

                      Blowing Rock, North Carolina
I absolutely love this Inn. It opened in 1891 & still offers old
fashioned hospitality with afternoon tea in the parlor daily.

A beautiful drive along the Blue Ridge Parkway in October,
although it was 85 degrees & practically no fall colors (yet).
